For this piece I developed a
complicated through-joint to use at each 3-dimensionally intersecting
corner, both interior and exterior. I enjoyed designing and making this piece, and
am eager to
make further studies extending the possibilities of this concept.
When you spin this piece, the interplay of light and shadow and the
way in which the spaces through the piece open and close is
entrancing. |
