A handsome desk set

I've added a set of pencil holders, paper weights, and business card caddies to my line.  They make a great set for any desk.  I offer introductory pricing for orders on these items through August.  See my order form for specifics.

Desk set details

The pencil holders stand about 5 inches high, can hold plenty of pens, pencils, scissors, etc., and have a steel-weighted bottom so they won't tip over.  Choose from a square or angled top.

The matching paper weights also incorporate steel to keep your papers in place.  An ultrasuede base prevents scratches and helps keep these pieces from sliding around.

The business card caddies have a smaller matching stripe horizontally across the face, a weighted bottom, and plenty of room for holding 50 or more business cards.

Along the same lines

I also offer a larger paper weight cut from Jatoba, a rich and dense wood that needs no extra weighting.

Paradise City

I'm excited to announce I've been accepted to the prestigious Paradise City Arts Festival in Marlborough, Massachusetts.  I'll be presenting high-end boxes at this November show and will be busy through the summer preparing inventory and displays.

Just for fun

It's going to be a busy year, but I'm maintaining a playful attitude in the workshop.  Here's a piece I really enjoyed making, and enjoy even more playing with.

These interlocking cubes use a complicated through-joint at each 3-dimensional intersection.  Watching the play of opening and closing views through the cubes as they spin is fascinating.  I plan later this year to add a new page on my web site devoted to unique pieces like this that I'm not offering as production pieces but that I want to show off and offer for sale to whomever is interested.

Next newsletter I'll keep you posted on improvements I hope to implement to keep my work rolling smoothly out of the workshop and into your stores during the coming fall and winter sales season.
