Trip to New Orleans End of the first day At the end of the first day, cleaned up and a bit weary, everyone sat for a few minutes to discuss the day's accomplishments and plan for the following day.  Everybody had done a hard day's work, though still tired from the long drive down - 30 hours of straight driving. A little time to relax and share some fun.  I almost forgot - we wound down before supper with a jog to Cafe' du Monde where everyone had their fill of beignets. Our patient hosts put up with a real invasion - 15 pairs of shoes at the door. Thanks to Mom and Dad for putting us up and taking such great care of us!
