Trip to New Orleans How you can help!
If you've been moved by these pictures and the stories from our trip, maybe you would like to help too!  There's a real easy way to do that:

Here are three groups that we worked with because of our trip.  Each is doing great work to help people return with their families to the city.  Your surprise check in the mail will be more than tangible help, it will be a morale boost!

Common Ground in particular is actively serving the poorest and hardest hit communities in the 9th ward.

The Holy Cross Neighborhood Association, named after the prominent Catholic high school in the neighborhood, is doing what it can to maintain the community that drew together 10 years ago through volunteer efforts to build the playground that our group worked on.

And Ben Franklin High School is one of the few public schools in New Orleans to have been able to reopen this year.  As a newly-created charter school, it relies on funding outside of the normal public school system - private donations make a huge difference for the dedicated staff who have kept this school functioning in the chaos that still pervades the city's infrastructure.

(Make checks out to the Franklin Alumni Matching Fund Drive, every dollar sent will go directly to the school with no fees or overhead.)

And Thank You!
